Inclusion Habits for Operations Leaders (April – July 2024 intake)

08.04.24DigitalInclusive LeadershipNationalProfessional Development Program

This inclusive leadership capability development program is specifically designed for operations leaders by NAWO in partnership with Emberin, a global leading organisation in diversity and inclusion training programs.

The program has been developed in direct consultation with NAWO members.

Being one of its kind on the market, with content designed to be relatable to operations leaders, the corporate scenarios, imagery and language in the modules consist of situations, terminology and examples drawn directly from the experiences of participants in the pilot program. Therefore we are presenting ‘real life’ scenarios our leaders can identify with and use as the basis for their inclusion journey.

To take this new program to a whole new level, we're harnessing the power of technology and microlearning to deliver a truly unique experience. Keep reading to learn more.

THE INCLUSION HABITS FOR OPERATIONS LEADERS JOURNEY

ABOUT THE INCLUSION HABITS FOR OPERATIONS LEADERS PROGRAM

Inclusive leadership is central to NAWO’s mission and we continue to create avenues to support people within our membership to lead more inclusively, provide a safe space to ask questions and have conversations that help achieve greater gender balance. Achieving gender balance in the industries represented across the NAWO membership requires us to increase the capability, insight and awareness of operational leaders at every level, so that they can be more inclusive in their habits every day.

Our Inclusion Habits for Operations Leaders program is our newest offering to support inclusive leadership capability within our membership.

OUR PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS

This program is the first of its kind, and is a tailored operations specific program developed through the participation and and feedback from operations leaders across seven NAWO member companies.

OUTCOMES

Our pilot program created a robust 2886 bottom line impacts across member organisations. The core habits for inclusive leaders will be facilitated to participants via 7 modules:
  • Module 1: Getting started
  • Module 2: Inclusive Habit 1 – courageous curiosity
  • Module 3: Inclusive Habit 2 – effective communication
  • Module 4: Inclusive Habit 3 – vulnerability in leadership
  • Module 5: Inclusive Habit 4 – positive management of difference
  • Module 6: Inclusive Habit 5 – questioning and challenging the status quo
  • Module 7: Inclusive Habit 6 – equitable fairness

Each module includes 10 lessons, which in turn each comprise a video and supporting document.

DELIVERY – INTRODUCING A WHOLE NEW WORLD

The Inclusion Habits for Operations Leaders program is not only unique in that it is curated specifically for operational leaders – it also brings the newest learning modalities available – microlearning. Mircolearning is an employee approved method of learning, which entails the taking in new information in small quantities in a short amount of time so that it is flexible, fits the flow of work and is easy to retain.

Hosted by the hugely popular EdApp, the Inclusion Habits for Operations Leaders program delivers 7 modules, with each module containing 10 lessons, which will take a 2 week period to complete. EdApp enables participants to complete the program on their computers or phones – but we recommend downloading EdApp on your phone to get the best of the experience and harness the flexibility that makes microlearning so powerful.
