Today we welcome Dakshi Weerasinghe, Data Scientist at Sydney Water, to NAWO’s 100 Women in Operations wall of fame!

Dakshi began her career as a civil engineer, where she built a strong foundation in analytical thinking, precision and problem-solving. While working in the engineering domain, she became increasingly inspired by the power of data and its ability to uncover meaningful patterns, drive efficiency and enable optimisation across complex systems and processes.

This growing passion led her to transition into the field of data science, where she now applies her engineering mindset to extract meaningful insights and build intelligent solutions at Sydney Water. Dakshi is deeply passionate about the transformative potential within data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to solve problems and create scalable, meaningful impact.
