1. APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

1.1. Our current membership descriptions, tiers, benefits and pricing will always be stated on our website located at https:/nawo.org.au

1.2. All applications for membership must be made by filling out the form on our website. This will create a membership account for you.

1.3. All information you provide during the application process must be accurate and complete, and it is your responsibility to keep your details up to date.

1.4. We will only process completed applications, and reserve the right to reject an application for any reason.

1.5. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of any password you create for accessing your account.

1.6. We will send you a confirmation email on receipt of payment of the applicable membership fee. Your membership is deemed accepted on the day you receive the email.

1.7 Once your membership is accepted by us, these Terms, the Conditions of Service and our Privacy Policy (as each amended from time to time) will govern your continued membership of NAWO and use of our services.

2. CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES

2.1. The membership fee may be paid in various ways depending on the type of membership purchased, including:

(a) An upfront annual payment via credit card on our website (if you are purchasing an Individual Annual Membership); or via invoice (if you are purchasing a Corporate Annual Membership).

(b) other payment terms as set out in any specific third-party partner offer promoted on the website and purchased by eligible members.

2.2. The membership fees are as advertised on our website at the time of purchase, and NAWO in its sole discretion reserves the right to change any membership fees on at least one month’s written notice to existing members. Any special offer or discount offered, such as (but not limited to) a 10 year anniversary membership may be withdrawn or changed without notice.

2.3 Once paid, membership fees are non-refundable.

2.4 Payment terms for invoiced fees are 30 days from the issue date of the invoice.

2.5 NAWO may, at its discretion, apply an administration fee of 0.092% per day for every day payment is overdue beyond the invoice issue date, unless otherwise mutually agreed.

2.6  All prices include GST unless otherwise specified.

3. AUTO RENEWAL AND TERMINATION

3.1. Your Individual Annual Membership will be automatically renewed each year, on the anniversary of the date you joined NAWO (Anniversary) unless you wish to terminate your Membership. If you wish to terminate your annual membership, you must give us notice at least 5 days prior to the anniversary by notifying us via email at accounts@nawo.org,au or, when available, logging into your account settings and selecting ‘Cancel’. If we do not receive notification from you, your Annual Membership shall be auto-renewed and the applicable membership fee payable. You shall be charged for the entire year during which cancellation is requested and no refund for any months remaining will be provided.

3.2 For auto-renewals, the applicable membership fee for the forthcoming year will be charged to the same credit card you used on joining, unless you specify otherwise.

3.3 Corporate Annual Memberships will be renewed via invoice, issued prior to the agreed membership start date (Anniversary).

4. GENERAL MEMBERSHIP TERMS – INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

4.1 By signing up and being granted Individual Annual Membership, you will have access to a range of content, special offers, and other benefits (Member Content) available via the Website, Linked In, Instagram, Facebook and through direct communications between us and You, as set out in more detail in the Membership benefits specified on our Website (and varying depending on the type of Membership you purchase). You will also be able to access general content on the website which is subject to our Conditions of Service.

4.2 All member content is subject to copyright law and the Conditions of Service apply equally to member content as to any other content accessed on or through the website or via social media. Members should seek permission from NAWO or the relevant copyright holder before sharing or distributing any member content accessed through the website, social media or any other services provided by us. In the event of failure to seek and be granted permission to share or distribute any member content, NAWO has the right to terminate your membership and take further action as may be appropriate to protect any and all intellectual property rights NAWO has in the member content.

4.3 NAWO reserves the right to change the features, content or services related to any membership without notice to you in order to improve the quality of the membership offered to you or for any other reason, as its sole discretion.

4.4 Membership is to be used by a sole individual (pursuant to the provided login credentials) and is non-transferable. Membership benefits including logins, access to content and services are linked to a specific User, and cannot be shared with other non-Users. NAWO shall monitor the number of devices used to access a membership and breach of these Terms may result in NAWO revoking your membership. In the event of membership being revoked due to breach of this clause, no refund shall be provided for any membership fees you may have already paid.

4.5 As a NAWO member you can register for NAWO Professional Development Programs and the NAWO Mentoring Program, and payment of the applicable fee, as advertised on our Website at the time of purchase, is required prior to your participation. As a network for women in operations NAWO reserves the right to run events and programs exclusively for members who identify as female or non-binary. At times this will mean that NAWO members who identify as male may not be eligible to register for these events. There may also be times where NAWO may elects to host events exclusively for those members who identify as male.

4.6 If circumstances change and you can no longer participate in a NAWO Professional Development Program or Mentoring Program, you may cancel your registration by providing written notice to the NAWO team at info@nawo.org.au.  Registrations may be refunded, if cancellation is made in writing no less than 30 calendar days prior to the Program start date (cancellation cut-off date). Cancellations received after the cancellation cut-off date or non-attendance will not be refunded. For cancellations received after the cut-off date with a balance due, the registration amount remains due in full. Written authorisation can be approved for a ticket transfer (substitution) to another representative from the same NAWO member company. Substitution of registration may be made at any time up to the event start date.  “No Shows” will be deemed a cancellation per the cancellation cut-off date explained above.

5. GENERAL MEMBERSHIP TERMS – CORPORATE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

You will also be able to access general content on the website which is subject to our Conditions of Service.

5.4 Membership is extended to employees of the entity that applied for membership (the ‘Member Company’) as set out in detail in the membership benefits specified on our website. Each Member Company employee registered with NAWO is considered an individual member and the general terms – individual membership detailed in section 4 above, apply to these memberships.

5. PRIVACY

5.1. Personal information provided by you during the membership application process and throughout the duration of your membership will be held and dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.

5.2. Without limiting our Privacy Policy, you consent to:

  1. Your name and any other optional parts of your profile provided by you (including job title, company, personal bio and image if supplied) being made accessible to other members via our member portal; and;
  2. Receiving commercial emails from us.

5.3. You may change the level of information made available on our website and opt-out of emails by unsubscribing or when available by logging into your account settings and editing your preferences, or by notifying us directly at info@nawo.org.au

6. MEMBER CONDUCT

6.1. NAWO does not take any responsibility or liability whatsoever for disputes between members or third parties on our website, Social Media Channels or otherwise connected with our provision of membership services to you.

6.2. There are sections of our website that are accessible to both registered members and general website visitors (NAWO Site Visitors). These sections may include names and references to Individual Annual and Corporate Annual Members. We will only make your Member profile data publicly available with prior written permission from you. When accessing those sections of our Website, you must not:

  1. harass, abuse or harm other Members or NAWO Site Visitors; send spam or other un-welcomed communication to other Members or NAWO Site Visitors;
  2. act in an unlawful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable manner; or
  3. infringe the intellectual property rights of others, including those of NAWO, Members, NAWO Site Visitors or third parties.

6.3. Your use of, and conduct on, our Website, Social Media and Services will be otherwise subject to the Conditions of Service available and  the Community Guidelines available on our website..

6.4 We may revoke your membership for any reason, including for breach of these Membership Terms, the Conditions of Service, the Community Code, third party social media channel terms of use or for bringing NAWO into disrepute.

7. THIRD PARTY CONTENT/SERVICES/EVENTS

7.1 Services and marketing material may be offered to members including events, promotional offers and general advertising by our partners and endorsed providers. These partner and endorsed provider services may have additional terms that apply as set by the applicable third party, and NAWO claims no responsibility or liability over the content, accuracy or availability of these services. Should you have any issue with a partner or endorsed provider please contact them directly.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions and warranties relating to your membership.

8.2. Where our liability cannot be excluded, such as in relation to Consumer Guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or other prescribed terms under legislation, our liability for breach is limited to the membership fees paid by you.

9. MISCELLANEOUS

9.1. These Terms shall in respects be governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria to determine any matter or dispute which arises under these Terms.

9.2. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, all or part of that provision will be severed from the Terms and will not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions of the Terms.

9.3. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Any failure to assert any right under the Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.

9.4. These Terms, in conjunction with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (available on our website) constitute the entire agreement between NAWO and you in relation to membership.
