Since launching on International Women’s Day in 2024, the NAWO 100 Women in Operations has been about making women in operational roles visible – showcasing the scope of careers available, the breadth of industries represented, and the real pathways women are forging every day.

We are proud to introduce Jessica Taylor to the Wall of Fame – a powerful example of what women can, and do, achieve across operational environments.

Jessica currently works as a Business Systems Implementation Manager at BlueScope, helping teams navigate change by improving the systems and processes they rely on every day.

After each of her three children, Jessica returned to work, with every transition prompting a reassessment of her priorities. This approach enabled her to move into roles that supported both her family’s needs and her passion for making complex change practical and human centred. Her journey demonstrates that operational careers can offer flexibility and evolve in step with different life stages.

Throughout her career in the steel industry, Jessica has been able to experience a wide range of opportunities and step into many different roles. With each new beginning, she has learned that change is not something to fear, but something to work with.

Nominated for:

  • Her sustained commitment, volunteering with NAWO for more than 10 years.
  • Playing a key role on the Queensland Committee and leading NAWO’s expansion into Regional Queensland, bringing strategic thinking, good humour and supporting women in operational roles across regional communities.
  • Championing NAWO within BlueScope, actively encouraging colleagues across the country to engage with the network and strengthening awareness and participation nationwide.

Stories like Jessica’s demonstrate exactly what the NAWO 100 Women in Operations campaign is about: visibility and recognising the women shaping operational industries across Australia.

Congratulations Jessica, and welcome to the Wall of Fame!!
