As we approach our 100th woman in the 100 Women in Operations campaign, we’re proud to add Sam Gopal to the Wall of Fame.

As co-chair of a NAWO committee, contributor to Women in Tech and mentor through Monash University, Sam is guiding the next generation of women entering operations and technology.

Sam is currently a Digital Product Owner with NAB, partnering closely with operational teams to design and implement technology that improves how work happens. With experience across retail and large-scale transformation, she has delivered initiatives that simplify complex processes, strengthen customer outcomes, and support sustainable commercial performance.

What drives Sam is bridging strategy and execution – aligning cross-functional stakeholders, creating clarity around priorities, and guiding teams from concept through to embedded change.

Sam has learned that digital transformation is not about technology itself, but the outcomes it delivers. Real impact happens when leaders spend time with the people closest to the work. Understanding their realities drives better decisions and more effective solutions.

As operations evolves alongside technology, Sam believes leadership must reflect the workforce it serves. Women need to be visible in shaping large-scale change, influencing system design and guiding decision-making. Commercial discipline and human-centred leadership strengthen operational performance.

Sam has been nominated for:

  • Aligning diverse stakeholders and guiding delivery from vision all the way through to reality. This is operations leadership, through and through.
  • Her emotional intelligence, curiosity and authenticity – bringing a people-first mindset to every challenge and ensuring technology solves real operational problems.

Women like Sam, leading from the digital frontier, building inclusive teams, and creating meaningful impact through technology and human connection, are exactly who we want to celebrate in this campaign. Congratulations Sam and welcome to the Wall of Fame.
