Today, we’re proud to introduce Stacey Lee Wallace – another incredible woman in operations.
The NAWO 100 Women in Operations campaign is about showcasing the wide range of operational careers available to women and celebrating those doing the work every day.
Stacey Lee is an Ammonium Nitrate (AN) Bulkstore Technician at Orica. Her role involves operating front-end loaders and forklifts to dispatch ammonium nitrate into bulk tippers, as well as preparing bagged product for mine sites across Australia and internationally.
Her pathway into operations began in 2007, following a major career change from hospitality into industry. Stacey Lee’s first role was with an Orica contracting scaffolding crew. After that project wrapped up, she was invited back to the Orica Bulkstore, where she worked casually before becoming a permanent employee in January 2009. Her journey is a great example of how operational careers are not always linear.
What she values most about her role is the work–life balance it provides, allowing her to be a devoted mother and wife while building a successful career in operations. Her children remain her biggest motivation.
Nominated for:
- Her long career in warehousing and operations at Orica and for being is highly regarded by her peers.
- Demonstrating strong initiative through her involvement in mentoring, presentation skills development, and volunteering with NAWO in Gladstone.
Congratulations Stacey lee, and welcome to the NAWO 100 Women Wall of Fame.
