Key message

“Growing up surrounded by bold women who defied societal norms really shaped my path. They were great role models, showing me sometimes the world needs time to adapt, but in the meantime to be you and achieve what you want. Being the ‘first female’ was isolating at times, I’m grateful for the men and women that supported me and called out the poor behaviour of others. It also makes me appreciate the culture at B&D – I feel I can be my true self and that I’m recognised as a leader, rather than a ‘female leader’. I hope my journey helps pave the way for others, as we continue to embrace diversity and accept people for who they are.”

Congratulations on being part of NAWO’s 100 Women in Operations!
