Today, we share the journey of Roux-Lien Weideman, HRBP Lead Australia Africa at Bradken.
Roux-Lien’s professional journey began in South Africa where she first gained experience in operations. After time spent with Goodyear and studies in Human Resource Management, she moved to Australia in 2012.
Her Australian career flourished, starting with five years as an industrial relations officer with the Australian Nursing Federation, followed by five years as the HR Manager for exploration and diamond drilling at McKay Drilling. In 2023, she commenced a new challenge as the HR Business Partner for Australia and Africa at Bradken – a role where her versatility and deep experience in operations industries will be put to good use!
Recognised for being an excellent role model for women in operations.
“Always be humble, remember where you come from and who helps you on your journey, and celebrate those people as they are your number one supporter. My hope is that everyone would embrace change, champion females in the operations field, and encourage their daughters, cousins, nieces, and granddaughters to do what they want, no matter their skin colour, where they are from, or their sex.” Roux-Lien Weideman.
By sharing stories like this we aim to not only celebrate individual success but also highlight the pathways available to women in operations, proving that with the right support, mentorship, and opportunities, the possibilities are limitless.
🙌 Congratulations, Roux-Lien! Another fantastic addition to our 100 Women wall of fame.
