About Alison McGregor

Alison McGregor is the Refinery Asset Manager at Viva Energy’s Geelong Refinery, where she leads the strategic management and development of critical assets. She heads a multidisciplinary team of Asset Managers, Engineers, Production Specialists, and Integrity experts, working to balance cost efficiency with asset integrity and reliability in a highly regulated major hazard facility.

Alison and her team develop and implement asset management strategies, prioritise maintenance, guide capital investments, and ensure asset availability to meet safety and production targets. Their focus is on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and delivering long-term strategic value.

With a background in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, Alison brings over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Her career spans roles in process engineering, infrastructure strategy, and commercial and operational supply chain management, both in Australia and internationally. She is known for her collaborative approach and passion for innovation in tackling the energy sector’s most complex challenges.
