In our final What a Job! session of the year, NAWO CEO Louise Weine sits down with Tania Archibald, Chief Executive of Australian Steel Products at BlueScope Steel, to explore the evolution of a career that began in 1996 at BHP and has grown into one of the most senior operational roles in Australian industry.
Tania will share how her early decisions—like taking on finance leadership roles in Vietnam and Indonesia—shaped her global perspective and strategic mindset. She’ll reflect on navigating a traditionally male-oriented industry, and how her economics and accounting background laid the foundation for her transition from CFO to Chief Executive.
Expect insights into the challenges of leading major operations at Port Kembla and Western Port, the realities of strategic decision-making during high-stakes mergers and acquisitions, and what it’s really like to shift from financial leadership to running complex industrial sites on the ground.
With nearly three decades at BlueScope, Tania’s story is one of continuous growth, adaptability, and purpose.
Join us for this candid and inspiring conversation, open exclusively to NAWO members.
