The NAWO SA Committee invites you to an engaging in‑person session focused on building persuasive communication skills that support leadership effectiveness and career progression. Whether you’re stepping into more senior conversations, influencing without authority, or simply wanting to be heard more consistently, this session will equip you with practical tools you can use straight away.
The session will be facilitated by Sharon Ferrier, founder of Persuasive Presentations and an experienced corporate educator, coach and speaker. Known for her ability to make complex ideas simple, Sharon brings deep expertise in influencing, pitching and presence — helping people communicate with impact while staying authentic.
Across the session, Sharon will explore three core areas:
- Shaping a clear message — how to structure ideas so they are concise, compelling and easy to understand
- Reading the room — techniques to assess audience dynamics and adapt your approach in real time
- Influencing without authority — ways to guide conversations and outcomes without needing to push or position
You’ll walk away with practical skills to:
- Communicate ideas more clearly and with greater confidence
- Adjust your approach for different audiences and situations
- Influence discussions and decisions in a way that feels natural and credible
- Position yourself more effectively in meetings, presentations and career‑critical moments
The evening will also include time to connect with others in the NAWO network and continue the conversation informally.
