We’re launching Career Club for 2026 with a reflective and energising conversation to help you start the year with purpose.

Join Penny Ryall, long-time NAWO member and SA Committee volunteer, alongside NAWO CEO Louise Weine, for a practical session on using reflection and intention-setting to guide career decisions for the year ahead. Penny, now a Connections Advisor at ElectraNet, will share how taking time to look back, and consciously shaping her personal values has influenced her professional journey, helping her set intentions that are not only clear, but lived day-to-day.

Through honest reflection on what has worked, what has surprised her, and what has mattered most, Penny will explore how understanding her values has provided a steady compass for navigating change, uncertainty, and opportunity.

Whether you’re stepping into something new, considering your next move, or simply wanting to be more deliberate in how you show up this year, you’ll walk away with simple prompts and practical strategies you can start using straight away.

What we’ll explore:
✨ How reflection can illuminate patterns, strengths, and opportunities
✨ Wny values matter in turning intentions into action
✨ Penny’s personal approach: what’s worked, what’s been surprising, and what she’s learned
✨ Light‑touch prompts to help you kick‑start your own process

About Penny Ryall

Penny Ryall is a project and strategy leader with experience working across complex energy, infrastructure, and industrial environments. In her current role as a Connections Advisor at ElectraNet, she supports large-scale renewable energy projects and associated organisations through the transmission connection process, guiding them across technical, commercial, and governance pathways to deliver clear, well governed, and customer centred outcomes.

With more than twenty years’ experience, Penny has worked closely with cross-functional teams across project delivery, business development, marketing, operations, and strategic improvement, contributing to transformation initiatives, commercial negotiations, and customer value management. Her career spans roles at ElectraNet, BlueScope Steel, Brickworks, and Croplands Equipment, where she has been involved in multimillion-dollar infrastructure programs, supply chain optimisation, and enterprise-wide process improvements.

Penny brings a leadership approach grounded in curiosity, balance, and open-hearted awareness. These values matter deeply to her, shaping how she listens, engages with complexity, and resists the urge to oversimplify in environments where nuance and care are essential. She is motivated by continually looking for ways to improve how work is done and by supporting others across all levels of an organisation, guided by a belief that we are only as strong as the sum of us all.
