NAWO invites you to a refreshing and insightful morning by the sea, where we’ll explore key topics in women’s health that impact many of us, but aren’t always talked about openly.

Conversations by the Coast is a relaxed, welcoming event designed to spark connection and learning. We’ll hear from two expert speakers who bring both clinical knowledge and lived experience to the conversation:

  • Dr Phoebe Walsh – GP Specialist at Brightwell Health and Staff Specialist at the Hunter New England Menopause Hub. Phoebe has worked extensively in reproductive and sexual health, including with Family Planning NSW, and holds advanced qualifications in contraception and menopause care.
  • Associate Professor Karen Hazell-Raine – Associate Professor and Head of Discipline (Mental Health) at the University of Newcastle. Karen has a strong academic and clinical background in mental health nursing and research, with a focus on improving outcomes for women across life stages. She is a Registered Nurse with a PhD in Medicine (Psychiatry) and Master’s Degrees in both Counselling (Psychotherapy) and Mental Health (Infant).
