28.07.26In personTourVIC

Opening a new distribution centre is about much more than bricks, racking and go-live dates. It takes strong leadership, clear communication and a coordinated team effort to bring a site to life and keep it running beyond launch.
Join NAWO and Mondelēz for a behind-the-scenes site tour of the Truganina National Distribution Centre, followed by a practical panel discussion on what it really takes to build the team behind a major site launch.

This event will give attendees an honest look at how Mondelēz brought together on-site operations, logistics, customer service and people leadership before, during and after launch. You’ll hear what worked, what needed to change, and what the team would do differently next time.

What to expect

Guided site tour
Walk through the Truganina NDC and see the facility in action. You’ll hear directly from the Mondelēz team about how the site was designed, mobilised and prepared for launch.

Panel discussion: Beyond the Four Walls: Building a Team to Launch and Run a New Site

Moderated by Soumya Ranjan, Operations Manager at Mondelēz, the panel will feature:
• Tridev Dupuguntla, Site Lead TNDC
• Hayley Wade, People Lead
• Susy La Spina, Transport Manager

Together, they’ll explore the people side of launching a new site, including:
• Recruiting, training and building culture under launch pressure
• Keeping remote and cross-functional teams connected to a site they may not work in day to day
• What worked, what broke and how issues were resolved in real time
• Moving from launch mode into steady operations
• Developing talent for the long term

What you’ll take away

You’ll leave with practical insights into:
• Building and onboarding a new site team at speed
• Keeping logistics and customer service aligned with a new facility
• Lessons learned from a real distribution centre launch
• How cross-functional collaboration supports a successful site opening
• What leaders can do to build momentum beyond go-live
