At NAWO, we know exactly how diverse and fulfilling careers in operations can be – and we’re committed to spotlighting these opportunities and inspiring the next generation of young people to pursue careers in operations.

The NAWO NSW Committee is proud to present Day in the Life: Pathways and Possibilities in Operations – an exciting event designed to open young eyes to the broad and rewarding career paths available in operational industries.

This event is focused on encouraging young women to explore STEM careers, but is open to all genders. It’s perfect for high school students (years 11–12), uni students, or anyone aged 16–22. Parents, carers, teachers and mentors are welcome to come along and support the journey!

Here’s what to expect:

  • A panel of professionals in operations sharing their honest experiences.
  • Insights into what a ‘day in the life’ looks like in different operational roles.
  • An interactive expo with leading companies sharing real career pathways and connection opportunities.

Featuring representatives from the NAWO network, including: Sydney Water, Tassal Group, Linfox, Intellihub, George Weston Foods, BlueScope and more.

This event is about exposure, building confidence and seeing what’s possible. Whether it nurtures a career ambition or a new direction, this experience can stay with someone for decades.

Share this event with the young people in your life. It’s open to everyone, whether they’re familiar with the NAWO network or not!

Thank you to Bunnings for their financial support of this event.
