This is a fun and interactive training that will enable you to fulfil your commitment to creating and fostering stronger connection and relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and may also align with your Reconciliation Action Plans.
Our friends from Acknowledge This! Rhys Paddick and Emma Gibbens have years of experience working with organisations to ‘inspire courageous participation in cultural change’ – learn more about them here.
They facilitate change by coaching individuals and groups to perform meaningful Acknowledgements of Country that effectively reflect the continued connection between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to their lands and communicates respect to the Indigenous people within your networks.
By the end of the training, participants will acquire:
- A deeper understanding of Acknowledgement of Country and the purpose of each part of an Acknowledgement of Country
- A personalised Acknowledgement of Country format to adapt for any gatherings where you want to acknowledge our shared history and place
Participants that complete the training will be able to add a ‘Certificate of Completion’ to their LinkedIn profile.
