To mark National Carers Week, NAWO invites you to a powerful panel conversation on how organisations can reshape employment conditions and leave provisions to enable a fairer distribution of caregiving responsibilities.
Too often, caring is viewed as “women’s work”. This session challenges that stereotype and explores how progressive policies, legislation, and leadership practices can foster workplaces where caregiving is shared equitably by all employees.
Joining host Renee Burkinshaw, are two leaders bringing both professional insight and lived experience to this discussion:
👩💼 Stephanie McCracken is the Senior Manager, Oceania People Partner, for Wallenius Wilhelmsen based in Melbourne. With a HR career spanning 20 years and a passion for inclusion, gender equity and leadership development, Stephanie brings both strategic insight and practical experience to her work. She is a strong supporter of NAWO’s mission and is excited to contribute to this conversation.
👩💼 Georgia Prenter has a background in policy and strategy and has recently stepped into a Diversity Equity and Inclusion role at Hydro Tasmania, based in Hobart. After 7 years with the organisation and benefiting personally from its supportive caregiving policies (after having two children of her own), she is now looking forward to stepping into a role where she can help continue to advance inclusive practises and remove barriers for caregivers.
In this webinar, you will:
- Gain insights into how NAWO Corporate Members are leading change through inclusive leave policies.
- Explore the role of leadership in dismantling gendered expectations of caregiving.
- Discover practical ways to create supportive cultures that value diversity, equity, and work-life balance.
This is more than a webinar – it’s a chance to be part of the shift towards a more inclusive and equitable future.
